More than Playing Cards! Use These Cards for Daily Inspiration.

I spoke on my last Toledo BizTV Shows® episode about cards that are called by several names – angel, oracle, wisdom, tarot, magical messages and many more.  The idea is that you pick a card as needed, usually daily, in whatever way works out best for you.  You might want to shuffle them and just pick one, or pick out one that seems to be sticking out farther than the others (I’ve even had one fall on the floor like it’s popping out to be seen!), or spread them out on a table and pick the one you’re drawn to.

As I said in my video episode, the ones I use most often are Healing with the Angels by Doreen Virtue and The Journey (cards) by Brandon Bays and Kevin Billett. Sometimes I’ll use one set in the morning and one before going to bed. I’m very often amazed at the fact that whichever card I pick, it’s really appropriate or helpful to what’s going on in my life at the moment.

Lately several times, the card “Children” has come up.  The part of the message that’s most meaningful to me is about taking time to have fun, play, and honor my inner child – something I don’t do nearly enough. I get caught up in my to do list and forget to take time to just have fun. As the card suggests, “Swing and slide at the park. Take an afternoon nap. Draw on the sidewalk with chalk. Or build a sandcastle.” Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?

As I indicated in my show, I wanted to list for you some of the other card sets I’m familiar with, and, of course, you can find many, many more online.

  • Power Animal Oracle Cards by Steven D. Famer, Ph.D.
  • The Science of Mind Wisdom Cards by Ernest Holmes
  • Grace Cards by Cheryl Richardson
  • Magical Messages from the Fairies Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D
  • Animal Messages by Susie Green
  • The Tarot of Transformation by Willow Arlenea and Jasmin Lee Cori

If you have some cards that you particularly like, I’d love to hear what they are or how you use your cards for daily inspiration in your life and if you find them helpful.
